We are excited to be booked to perform at your venue! Please help us get to know your venue better by sending us an email to nate@micdropDJ.com or sending pics or video to help show us your venue! The following items may be helpful to know:
- Venue website and physical address
- What is your venue best known for?
- Manager name and contact info. Will someone be onsite during the event?
- The DJ(s) will need to arrive 2-3 hours before the event begins. When will the door(s) be unlocked? Should we check-in with you?
- What building entrance should the DJ load in equipment?
- If the venue holds multiple events simultaneously, will there be another event happening at the same time or day that may inhibit parking or loading access?
- Approximately how far will the DJ booth be from the parking and load-in entrance?
- Is the event on the 1st floor, basement, and/or another floor?
- Does the venue have steps or slopes required?
- Is a full flight of stairs required? Approximately how many stair steps?
- Is an elevator required? Approximately what dimensions is it?
- Where should the DJ park their vehicle during the event?
- Is setup on a stage required?
- At what corner or wall of the room is the DJ booth?
- Where is the nearest storage closet/room/area for the DJ's boxes, bags? Or is the DJ's vehicle the best space to hide such items if parked very closeby to the DJ area?
- Is carting or carrying equipment over grass, dirt, or gravel required?
- If outdoors, is a tent or canopy provided?
- How far is the nearest plug-in to the DJ area? If no outlet(s), will there be a safe electrical extension cord nearby the DJ area or should the DJ bring such a cord?
- Are there enough power outlets around the room for full-room uplighting, if needed.
- Is the DJ area in front of furniture, doors, bookcases, windows, curtains, or hanging artwork?
- Is the DJ area at least 12 ft wide and 8 ft deep? If not, what are the dimensions available?
- Will there be a table or cart available for the DJ area upon arrival?
- Will there be ceiling lighting that is dimmable or can be turned off by the DJ? If so, where are the lighting controls? Please describe how or who operates this.
- Is there a maximum volume restriction for this venue or residential neighbors very close by?
- Are there in-house audio, video or lighting systems? Will they be on? Has the client requested their use? Please describe.
- Please describe the size and type of dance floor. Will the venue have an assembled dance floor laid on top of the regular floor?
- Is there a guest WiFi internet? What is the password?
- Is there a restroom nearby for the DJ to change into formal clothing? In what part of the building? Is there a hook inside the bathroom stall to place clothing hangers?
- Is there a required or latest time to end the event?
- Is there a required time the DJ needs to be out of the venue?
- Is there anything else the DJ or MC should know?
